Marche Region has organized a seminar on the financial opportunities for innovation of the small-scale fisheries and aquaculture sectors addressed to follow-up on innovation brokering finding. The seminar took place in the Marche Region office of Ancona on 18 April 2019 and aimed to address the small-scale fisheries and aquaculture operators in the panorama of financial opportunities for making their sectors more innovative while competitive and sustainable. The Fisheries Economy Department staff – together with ASSAM and CNR-IRBIM – presented and discussed with 10 stakeholders the EMFF 2014/2020 forthcoming calls feasible for the pilot ideas emerged during the innovation-brokering event held on February. Strategic and operational hints on partnership composition, application development and eligible costs have been provided together with the availability for further technical meeting after the calls launching. In addition to this, the event improved the awareness on funding mechanisms and potential partnership for bankable projects. Moreover, the occasion was taken to collect the expression of interest in participating to the ARIEL pilot actions from the small-scale fisheries and aquaculture entrepreneurs.
